The Broste Story
The Broste story is that of an interesting innovative company founded by Peter Brøste during World War I.
Time Line
June 15th 1915 Peter Brøste obtains a merchant license in Copenhagen and establishes the salt business which later develops into the company we know today
1941 Ulf Broste, Peter Brøste's son, buys an old patrician house, which he restores and makes into the headquarters 1967 Broste is converted into a joint-stock company 1973 Broste AS in Norway starts 1979 On June 1st Peter Brøste, Ulf Brøste's son, starts as CEO of the Broste Group 1982 Broste Umbodid in Iceland is established 1986 Broste Ltd. in UK starts 1987 The company moves to its present location in Lundtofte, Lyngby 1991 Bröste AB in Sweden is established 1994 Broste S.A. in Poland starts 1995 Broste OY is founded in Finland Ulf Brøste, Peter Brøste's son starts as CEO, while Peter Brøste becomes Chairman of the Board 1997 SIA Broste in Latvia is founded 1998 On March 1st Jens U. Schrøder becomes CEO, as Ulf Broste leaves to take care of SIA Broste 2000 Broste China is established 2003 The group is divided into two separate legal entities Broste A/S and Broste Copenhagen A/S 2005 Broste A/S (minus Broste Copenhagen) is bought by the Azelis Group on July 1st 2007 Broste S.A. in Poland is sold to Azelis Peco 2008 Broste A/S buys Reichhold’s distribution in the composites industry |
