EU REACH is one of the strongest regulatory changes that has ever hit the chemical industry. The EU Parliament and the EU Commission have adopted the REACH regulations, entering it into force from 1st June 2007.

The text of REACH (849 pages with annexes) has been published as EC Regulation 1907/2006 on L396 issue of the Official Journal of the European Union.

Azelis has pre-registered all substances that we import from non-EU countries, even substances that our suppliers and principals have not expressed total commitment to.

The pre-registration activities have involved more than 10,000 substances, marketed in the EU by Azelis.

We are now moving to the next phase and Azelis continues, through the relevant industry associations, to play a constructive role in the implementation of REACH. This active involvement, combined with solid management of our own Azelis REACH scenario, will ensure that the way is clear for full compliance.
