Brøste strengthens logistic capacity on Zealand

Brøste has made an agreement with Ohlsson & Linde, Køge to build another warehouse on the quayside of Køge Harbour. The new warehouse is of the same size as the existing one, namely 3800 sqm. Where the main use of the "old" (2 year old) warehouse is bagged de-icing salt, the new one is only for de-icing salt in bulk.

This big investment is based on Brøste’s huge increase in market share on Zealand, and the distribution agreement made last spring in Paris with Cie des Salins du Midi et des Salines de L'Est. The customers are very pleased with the fact that all de-icing salt supplied from Brøste is now from indoor storage.

In the summer of 2003 Brøste also invested in a warehouse for bulk de-icing salt in Middelfart, so by the end of this summer the total bulk capacity will exceed 80,000 tons!

Brøste should be well equipped for a severe winter 2004/05.
